It's
white or light yellow columnar crystal, melting
point is 136°C (142-143°C ),boiling
point is 267°C ;soluble in water and ethanol,
slightly soluble in cool benzene. It is the
intermediate of 2-Methyl-5-nitroimidazole-1-ethanol
, ,can be used as the curing agent of epoxy
resin and other resins.
